POTUS
I think he is still his own worst enemy. I also think that he thinks that all of his tweets are supposed to do for him what those fireside chats once did for FDR. But that was then and this is now. In the previous century, if you wanted to communicate with everyone, all we had was radio. So let him tweet away I say, but enough with the overkill. An abundance of anything can not only numb the intended recipients but also morph into one of those situations that promulgates all manner of mistakes and or omissions. Additionally, if he still tweets, which is highly probable, there should be some manner of a tweet oversight committee consisting of concerned staff members so as to ensure that there are no mistakes and or omissions. Just as important is the often overlooked concept of perception which if not taken into account can undo the very best of any intentions. People will always perceive what they want to perceive or in most cases what they think they should perceive. It makes not a bit of difference what POTUS does or does not do if his actions are not properly perceived.
BASEBALL
I always knew that the Democrats and Republicans are political rivals but I did not know that this rivalry extends on to the baseball diamond. Better to hit a baseball than themselves. With a reported attendance of 25,000 spectators, it is impressive when you consider that professional games many times can’t get that many fans to watch. Who won? The Democrats by a score of 11 to 2.
WHO SHOOTS MORE
That leads into the next issue. Would the Democrats have done as well if there were no shooters trying to do them in? Which leads to the next question; from which political party do most of the shooters originate from? Has anyone ever done a study on this? It is a perfectly logical question for which there must be an answer. My guess would be that most of these shooters are in fact Democrats as well as being anti-gun whereas most of the victims would be Republicans as well as pro-gun. If any of you people out there have any information whatsoever about which political group is more likely to shoot members of the opposing political group, please let us know ASAP.
QUICK ACTION BY THE POLICE
Regardless which political group is more apt to shoot the other, credit must be given to the Capitol police who were on the ball and were able to take down the shooter before the situation could have developed into a massacre. All that remains now is for these courageous officers to prepare for the law suit that will most likely be instituted by the family members of the deceased.
RUSSIAGATE
Well, I’m still waiting on pins and needles for someone, anyone, who can present some proof, not conjecture or opinion or supposition, that the Russians did in fact manipulate, bring about different results, cause one single vote to go astray or otherwise mess things up, other than merely listening in, during the Presidential Election of 2016. It is time to put up or shut up.

I have always wanted to go to Cuba but with our two countries being at odds for so many years, it was out of the question. Just when it looked like the situation was about to thaw out, a monkey wrench was tossed into the equation. At one time between Germany and Japan and the rest of the world we were all killing each other. At one time Russia and all of its allies were our deadly enemies. Now we are all friends. Cuba seems to have been left out, forgotten, ignored or not even factored in to begin with. I listened to the reasons given by Trump for the pulling back of some of the items put forth by his predecessor for the renewal of normalized relations between the US and Cuba. Was he genuinely sincere or was he simply pandering to the Cuban population of Miami?

I missed the Megyn Kelly interview of Putin so I made sure not to miss the Oliver Stone interviews of Putin. I must say that I was surprised as well as impressed by the Q & A that took place.
