S.O.S

TRUMPOMANIA

So Donald Trump wants CNN to cough up five million (dollars, I think) for his participation in the upcoming Republican Debates scheduled for December 15 in Washington, DC.  Is that a lot of ‘chutzpah’, or what?  But when it was announced that he would donate every penny of it to Wounded Warriors, it still may be considered as ‘chutzpah’, but at least it’s good ‘chutzpah’.  What I think is that CNN should voluntarily cough up not five but ten, or more million, on behalf of all of the participants on December 15 and donate it all to Wounded Warriors.

For the past few weeks Donald Trump has been excoriated, dumped on, ridiculed, made fun of and called a liar by the media regarding his statement that Muslims in the New York area were seen dancing, celebrating or regaling to show their joy over the destruction of the twin towers on September 11, 2001.  All I can say is that I distinctly recall the media reporting exactly that, on the very day after 9-11.  Rudy Giuliani, who was the Mayor of New York City at the time stated on national TV that he recalls the same thing.  Others have since called in to say that they too were also witnesses to what Trump has been called out on.  I realize that the media, by and large, may not care for Donald Trump but that does not exempt them from fact-checking their own statements as opposed to ignoring the truth and telling outright lies.

THE BIG O

Our President has finally stepped up to the plate.  After years of our listening to his outright and idiotic bullshit about his plans to defeat ISIS, without ever taking the time to explain to us exactly what his strategy is comprised of, he has finally done what some of his military people (those that  don’t pander to him) have advised over the same period of time.  I know, how could he have told his fellow Americans without tipping off ISIS on his plans?  But it’s okay to announce a definitive departure date for our troops, regardless of the outcome.  No longer does he refer to ISIS as the junior varsity or make ludicrous statements that ISIS has been contained.

We are not stupid.  I am convinced, beyond any doubt, that he is taking these latest steps because he was shamed into doing so by our allies.  The downed Russian airliner over Egypt when combined with the fanatical killings in Paris and the exposure of the raids that were supposed to follow were a rude and disturbing wake-up call for the Big O.

A spokesperson for the administration recently made a statement that they originally considered, but ultimately decided not to, taking out the oilfields of Syria that were captured by ISIS which were generating revenue for ISIS to the tune of almost two million per month because, get this, it would have polluted the air in Syria.  I for one, do not believe this lame excuse.  I think that it was a last minute rationale that was invented in order to cover up their initial and insistent stupidity and their inability to properly analyze a situation and to act on it.

The other day a four star General was asked if ISIS was ever contained.  His response was emphatic and the exact opposite of what the Big O has claimed.  So I ask you, which of the two was telling the truth?  You decide.

Special Forces of up to two hundred will soon be deployed and they will more than likely be followed by others.  We are finally attacking the oil by bombing the trucks used for the delivery of the oil, after watching the Russians do it.  So far, just about everything that the Big O has said about the problems in Iran, Iraq and Syria as well as with ISIS or ISIL and how these problems affect us, have been nothing more than pure unadulterated bullshit.  Either he really doesn’t know the difference between shit and shinola or he has been telling us lies from the very get go.

A SCHOLARLY EXPLANATION OF THE SYRIAN CONFLICT

I did not make this up.  I got it from someone who got it from someone who got it from someone who got it from someone and so forth.  You know how it is.  Should this item come across the desk, (or computer) of the one who actually wrote it, please let me know so that we can give full credit where the credit belongs.

President Assad of Syria (who is bad) is a mean old guy who got so nasty that his people rebelled and these Rebels (who are good) started winning. But then some of these rebels became a bit nasty and are now  called Islamic State or ISIS or ISIL or IS (who are definitely bad) and yet some of the rebels, those not radicalized, continued to support democracy (who are still good). Obama (not too bright but supposedly good) drew a line in the sand, advising Assad (who is bad) that he cannot cross it.

So the Americans (who are good) started bombing IS or Islamic State (who are bad) and started giving arms to the Syrian Rebels (who are good) so they could continue to fight Assad (who is still bad), which was good.

By the way, there is a breakaway state in the north run by the Kurds who want to fight the Islamic State (which is a good thing) but the Turkish authorities think they are bad, so we have to say they are bad while secretly thinking they’re good and giving them guns which with to fight IS (which is good) but that is a whole other matter.

Getting back to Syria, President Putin of Russia (who is bad, as he invaded Crimea and the Ukraine and killed lots of folks including that nice Russian man in London with Polonium) has decided to back Assad (who is still bad) by attacking IS (who are also bad) which is sort of a good thing, kind of.

But Putin (who is still bad) thinks the Syrian Rebels (who are good) are also bad, and so he bombs them too, much to the  annoyance of the Americans (who are good) who are busy backing and arming the rebels (who are also good).

Now Iran (who used to be bad, but since they have agreed not to build any nuclear weapons and not to bomb Israel, at least for the next ten or fifteen years, are now supposedly good) are going to provide  ground troops for Assad (who is still bad) as will the Russians (who are bad) who already have ground troops and aircraft in Syria. So, a coalition of Assad (who is still bad), Putin (extra bad) and the Iranians (good, but in a bad sort of way) are going to attack IS (who are bad) which is a good thing, and also the Syrian Rebels as well (who are good), which is bad.

Now the British (obviously good) and the Americans (also good) cannot attack Assad (still bad) for fear of upsetting Putin (who is bad) and Iran (good / bad) and now they have to accept that Assad might not be that bad after all when compared to IS (who are super bad).

Therefore, Assad (bad) is now probably good, being better than IS (no real choice there) and since Putin and Iran are also fighting IS which may now make them good.  America (still good) will find it hard to arm a group of rebels being attacked by the Russians for fear of upsetting Mr Putin (now good) and that mad ayatollah in Iran (also, question mark, good) and so they may be forced to say that the Rebels are now bad or, at the very least, abandon them to their fate. This will cause most of them to flee to Turkey and on to Europe or to join IS (still the only constantly bad group).

To Sunni Muslims, an attack by Shia Muslims (Assad and Iran) backed by Russians will be seen as something of a Holy War, and the ranks of IS will now be seen by the Sunnis as the only Jihadis fighting in the Holy War and hence many Muslims will now see IS as good.

Sunni Muslims will also see the lack of action by Britain and America in support of their Sunni rebel brothers as something of a betrayal (might have a point) and hence we will be seen as bad.

So now we have America (who is now bad) and Britain (also bad) providing limited support to Sunni Rebels (bad) many of whom are looking to IS (good / bad) for support against Assad (now good) who, along with Iran (also good) and Putin (also, now, unbelievably, good ) are attempting to retake the country Assad used to run before all this started.

This should clear it all up for you, for now.  And just so you know, we are not taking any more  questions on this subject.

  1. Okay — got who’s good and who’s bad. Don’t trust Obama with anything. This San Bernardino massacre was apparently perpetrated by a husband and wife who were, I believe, Muslim, although the husband was born in the U.S. Both were shot and killed. They left behind a 6 month-old baby. Lovely legacy for the little girl. I wouldn’t be surprised if this massacre were part of a much larger plan that went far beyond this hapless couple. I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of these massacres. S.O.S. — Sick Of Shootings!!!

  2. He’s a billionaire who has SUPPORTED ISRAEL.

BO & THE DEMOCRATS WANT ISRAEL 2 DISAPPEAR.

CAN U FIND OUT IF WE DO NOT PAY OUR TAX $$$$ to THE IRS (we fill in the forms, but NOT send the $$$$$$$$????

  3. Thank you for your scholarly explanation of what’s going on in the middle east.

I went to a discussion group the other day with 35 old guys (smart and wealthy) and the consensus opinion was ….

“fuck em all….let them kill each other”.

  4. Your essay is very funny.
It shows that good and bad are relative terms depending on one’s frame of reference.
Sometimes good = bad and sometimes bad = good.
It puts Obama in a quandary because he will be criticized for whatever he does.
So what we do is targeted assassinations for persons we know to be terrorists
using facial recognition software. There are people who look all day at potential human
targets using facial recognition software based on intell from drones..
Targeted assassinations are illegal. We do it anyway.
