As crazy as this scenario may seem, just listen. Imagine the following: Hillary Clinton beats Donald Trump and is declared winner of the national election for the position of POTUS this coming November.
Now stay with me on this. During the next three months the FBI and the IRS and the DOJ, while they do not take any action against Hillary Clinton, are not asleep at the wheel and are working diligently on the as yet unanswered questions regarding her veracity, namely: the connection of the Clinton Foundation and the practice of the Secretary of State, namely Hillary Clinton meeting with the representatives of foreign governments wherein sizable donations are said to have been made to the Clinton Foundation by these governments as well as the festering condition promulgated by her email scandal wherein her thousands of missing and questionable emails that are first now being brought to light by Julian Assange of Wikileaks.
You’re still with me, right? Sometime during the hiatus between the election in November and the inauguration in January, Hillary Clinton is indicted and as a result is precluded from taking her oath and assuming the office of POTUS. Her VPOTUS is also out on a limb because he was not inaugurated. I got on my computer and checked out the Presidential Succession Act of 1947. This is what it says:
“If by reason of death, resignation, removal from office,
inability or failure to qualify, there is neither a President
or Vice President to discharge the powers and the duties
of the office of President, then the Speaker of the House
of Representatives shall, upon his resignation as Speaker
and as Representative in Congress, act as President.”
The words “inability or failure to qualify” might suffice in this situation but don’t bet on it. The lawyers, on both sides, and the Media will be having a ball with this one.
Since there is no specific law or procedure for the proper ascendancy under these particular circumstances, the existing President, Barack Hussein Obama, in order to ‘save our country’, makes an Executive Decision and signs the Executive Order that enables him to continue on in the capacity of POTUS until such time when Congress decides that a new election is to be held which could be as far off as in another four years. The lawyers and the Media will really have a ball with this one.
Since almost everyone who is left of center thinks that the Big O is the best thing that could ever happen to our country, it wouldn’t bother them in the slightest if he was able to finagle a third term. He cannot legally run for a third term but perhaps he can in this manner assume a third term because Hillary Clinton is prevented from taking part in the January inauguration due to her timely or un-timely indictment.
Could the Big O orchestrate such a move? He surely has the clout to prevent his minions and their agencies from indicting Hillary Clinton until after the election and to let it take place sometime before the inauguration. But is he smart enough and is he devious enough to have figured that out, let alone to make it happen?
