A long time ago, before most of you were born, we had in our country a governmental investigative agency, The House of Un-american Activities Committee, or HUAC, whose job it was to weed out all of the subversives in our government, our society and in particular the entertainment industry, zeroing in on anyone who is, ever was or might have been a communist. Stanley Dyrector not only lived through that infamous era, he wrote about it and is with us here today to tell us what it was like.
Karen Page, world famous psychic, has been with us a few times but she doesn’t do ‘stand-up’. She was never persecuted by HUAC, probably because she was able to predict the evils of it and could therefore steer clear of it.
